Asia Cureton is Assistant to the Director of the Library & Museum at the American Philosophical Society. She holds an MA. in German studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied Afro-diasporic literatures and Black feminist theory. She also holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in English literature. Before the APS, she worked as Assistant to the President at the Black German Heritage and Research Association. She lives in Philadelphia with Arthur the dog.
