
Yumi Dineen Shiroma is a Digital Projects Specialist at the American Philosophical Society. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Rutgers University, where she studied Frantz Fanon's psychiatric writings, African literatures, and trauma theory. She also holds a B.A. from Swarthmore College in English literature and interpretation theory. Before APS, she cataloged copy-specific metadata on eighteenth-century novels at the Early Novels Database and co-directed the inaugural year of the Digital Scholarship Fellowship program at the Penn Libraries. She is the proud human parent to Signora Neroni the cat.
