Catherine Person is the Head of Education Programs at the American Philosophical Society. Catherine received her Ph.D. from the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College in 2012. Her research focused on examining evidence for private religion and domestic structures as a reflection of cultural identity in Roman Greece. Catherine has extensive experience in museum education and public programming as well as curatorial work. Most recently she co-curated an exhibition at the U-M Kelsey Museum of Archaeology entitled Ancient Color. She also serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Museum Education. Catherine is especially interested in issues of accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion in museum spaces.
