Nandini graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. in Archaeology, focused on bioarchaeology, and a minor in art. They have conducted archaeological research for projects in the United States, Canada, and Romania in addition to an NSF-REU fellowship in archaeology with St. Mary's College of Maryland and the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory. They have worked in collections research in the curatorial departments of the Wellin Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art and were also an anthropology research fellow on the Roti Project tracing the development of regional food cultures in relation to colonial era migration across South and Southeast Asia. Most recently, they have worked on the Science History Institute's Museum Education team researching the relationship between colonial expansion, popular culture, and the development of medicine and life sciences during the 19th century.
