Sylvan Goldberg is assistant professor of English at Colorado College, where he teaches and writes on U.S. literature of the long nineteenth century and the environmental humanities. His recent essays can be found in ISLE (Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment), ESQ, and the essay collection, Climate in American Literature and Culture. He is completing a book manuscript on the concept of generation as it appears throughout nineteenth-century U.S. culture. Sylvan was a 2020-2021 Eugene Garfield Short-Term Resident Research Fellow at the Library & Museum of the APS.
