Understanding Audubon: Birding for Beginners

Registration required, please sign-up here

Get egg-sighted because bird is the word! Uncover native species and learn the basics of birdwatching with the American Philosophical Society’s Library & Museum.

Join APS Museum staff for an introduction to John James Audubon’s Birds of America and a beginner’s tutorial of birdwatching. Aspiring birders are invited to learn about Audubon and the local bird species which frequent the Society’s Jefferson Garden. The program will use Birds of America to identify birds in Old City.

If it's not too much of a birden, please bring your own binoculars. Birders should also avoid wearing white clothing.

"Understanding Audubon" is sure to be im-peck-able!
