Inspired in part by the APS’s 2025 exhibition, Philadelphia: The Revolutionary City and “America’s Scientific Revolutionaries,” a multiyear project funded by the Lounsbery Foundation, the American Philosophical Society’s Library & Museum and the Science History Institute are organizing a two-day conference: "Science and Society in the Age of Revolutions,". As the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence drives increased interest in the founding of the United States, this conference aims to widen the scope of such conversations.
The conference will be held September 25-26, 2025 in Philadelphia, PA.
The conference is free and open to all. Registration for this event is not yet available. Please use this form to receive updates about the program and registration.
