Join the American Philosophical Society in learning about the everyday people, events, and more in our 2025 exhibition, Philadelphia, The Revolutionary City. Librarian and Director of the Library & Museum Michelle McDonald and Education Programs Manager Ali Rospond will lead a lively discussion about the people and events that made Philadelphia a Revolutionary City. In this flash-talk format presentation, Michelle and Ali will try to share everything they know about about 30 different topics from across the exhibition in 30 minutes, one minute each topic.
Discover the many stories and events of Philadelphia during the American Revolution highlighted in the exhibition. Find out if these two will be able to keep to the time limit. Explore the topics further with activities and in the exhibition itself following the presentation.
Please note that photographs or video may be taken by APS staff throughout the event for educational and/or promotional materials.
