Bernard Romans letter to the printers, William and Thomas Bradford Newyork 28 feby. 1774

Gentlemen,

Having been a long time at Boston I have had no opportunity to hear from your place, I should therefore be glad to have the favor of a line or two from you, particularly I should like to know, whether the Drawings I sent to Mr. Owen Biddle in November last for the use of the American Society came to hand or not for I should like to see them inserted in this year's Transactions, be so kind as to beg of him to write me a few words on that subject.

Assure my Friends at your place, that in a Short time a great part of my work will be ready for Publication and if you can inform me whether paper fit to print the Maps on may be had at Philadelphia & on what terms I shall take it as a favor; I saw you have Linnaeus's Systemae Naturae, if you have them yet, I should be glad if you would send them to me, together with the first volume of the Society's Transactions at the lowest price, you will much oblige me & I shall gladly remit you the money or pay it in the hands of any person here you please to direct: The Booksellers at Boston have subscribed one for 50 & another for 25 copies of my book which Example I would be glad if you would follow in Philadelphia, pray ask some of your Booksellers & you will lay great obligations on me, who am
