Second Saturday: Mapping Home
Saturday, August 10 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Visit the American Philosophical Society Museum on the second Saturday of the month this summer for free, hands-on activities geared towards families!
If you were making a map of your hometown, what would you put on it? Where is your town located in relation to the rest of the world?
Maps have been used for many different purposes throughout history--for navigation, for political reasons, and to help people understand a place’s resources and character. Make a one-of-a-kind map of your hometown as you see it, then help us compile a collective map of the world!
Every second Saturday of the month, June through September, the APS Museum will have free educational activities for families, individuals, and all visitors to enjoy.
