Red, White, & Blue To-Do!

The APS joins our Philadelphia Historic District partners in celebrating Independence Day on July 2nd at the Red, White, & Blue To-Do

Join us in three separate events.  First, we will have our Museum open from 10am - 5pm, which is normally closed on Tuesdays. Come visit our current exhibition Sketching Splendor: American Natural History, 1750-1850. The museum is free and open to the public.

Then, meet us in Signers Garden along the Red, White, & Blue To Do parade route from 11am - 3pm. We will have Declaration related fun activities. This is a free event and visitors are welcome to stop for any amount of time throughout the program.

Finally, end your day with song and cheer at our screening of the 1972 movie musical 1776 in Benjamin Franklin Hall at 6pm. This event is also free but does require registration to attend.  More information and the registration form can be found here.

Please note that photographs or video may be taken by APS staff throughout the events for educational and/or promotional materials.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event, please contact the education office at [email protected]. We appreciate two weeks of advance notice for any accommodation requests.
