Sunday, October 7th from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Ever wonder what that prehistoric creature was on 5th street in Old City? Satisfy that curiosity (and more) by coming to the APS Museum’s Annual Garden Party! The Garden Party is a free program from 12pm – 4pm in our Jefferson Garden, located at 105 S. 5th Street.

Enjoy a variety of activities as we celebrate the 275th anniversary of the American Philosophical Society and bring Franklin’s spirit of inquiry back to Old City. Hands-on activities for the whole family brought to you by: the Academy of Natural Sciences, Independence National Historical Park, The Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia and of course, the APS.

Be prepared to celebrate the beginning of fall with everyone’s favorite autumnal treats, apples and apple cider!

This free afternoon event is appropriate for children and guests of all ages. The exhibition In Franklin’s Footsteps: 275 Years at the American Philosophical Society, located across the street in Philosophical Hall, will also be open during the program.
